According to reports, friends and associates of the former Lagos State Governor stormed the party’s secretariat in Abuja on Friday, April 28, 2022, to pick up the form on his behalf.

Tinubu is currently performing a lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, so members of the House of Representatives from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; member of the Green Chamber from Agege Federal Constituency, Babatunde Adejare; and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, among others, represented him.

Faleke, Lawal, and other Jagaban associates were said to have picked up the presidential forms at the party’s National Headquarters on Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, at 3 p.m.

Tinubu is the most recent APC aspirant to pick up his nomination form, following the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, among others.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; former Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu; and others are expected to pick the APC form in the coming days.
