The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo, has appointed veteran Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Special Adviser on Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism.
This isn’t the first political appointment for the actor, recall during the tenure of Peter Obi, Bob-Manuel served as Senior Special Assistant on Creative Media and as an aide to the immediate past governor, Willie Obiano.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Paul Nwosu.
It’s no news for Nollywood actors who have cut their teeth in the industry to bag appointments, recall the likes of Nkiru Slyvanus and Desmond Elliot have over the past years served in the political terrain as well.
