At the ISTAF 2022 Berlin event yesterday; Tobi Amusan, the young woman with the world record, dominated the women’s 100-meter hurdles event by taking first place in 12.45 seconds. The competition is a part of the Silver level World Athletics Continental Tour.

Amusan joined the competition after finishing in second place at the 2022 Lausanne Diamond League event last month, but she expressed confidence in her ability to improve this weekend at the Olympic Stadium.

The ace player from Nigeria got out to a fast start and quickly opened up a big lead before accelerating to claim the match.

After winning, Amusan remarked: “It has been a long season, but I am still alive. I just wanted to finish strong today. I was here to execute”

Even after her celebrations, she was seen hobbling after clearing the final obstacle. The world champion admitted that she felt OK and was looking forward to her upcoming match in the 2022 Wanda Diamond League final in Zurich later this week.
