Here’s how Nigeria can win next World Cup – CAF President Motsepe explains

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe has expressed confidence in the potential of the Nigerian national team, known as the Super Eagles, to win the World Cup.

Despite not qualifying for the recent tournament in Qatar, Motsepe cited the team’s talent, skills, and history as reasons for his optimism.

To help the Super Eagles achieve this goal, CAF has implemented several programs focused on youth football development, training coaches and referees, and improving football facilities.

Motsepe’s comments come in the wake of Morocco’s historic run to the semifinals of the World Cup, which he believes has opened the door for other African teams to make similar progress in future tournaments.

When the World Cup expands to 48 teams in 2026, nine or 10 African nations are expected to participate in the championship, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
