Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are “pushing very hard” to recruit Nigerian international Victor Osimhen following an outstanding season with Napoli that has earned him the reputation as one of the top strikers in the world.
After a standout campaign with Napoli, the Nigerian striker has drawn interest from some of Europe’s finest teams, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool in addition to champions of France’s Ligue 1 and the Premier League’s Manchester United.
The 24-year-old has revolutionised Italian football and emerged as one of the continent’s most productive strikers, helping Napoli contend for the Scudetto and carry them through numerous challenges this season.
The ex-VfL Wolfsburg forward has 25 goals in 29 games in all competitions, helping Luciano Spalletti’s team lead the Serie A standings by 21 points and advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.
Only 15 points separate the Partenopei from capturing their first Scudetto since 1990 at this time.
The Bavarians are apparently prepared to snatch Osimhen from Aurelio De Laurentiis and have reportedly begun negotiations with Napoli on a prospective trade worth €120m plus bonuses, according to rumours in the Italian media as cited by TuttoSport.
“Bayern Munich are pressing very hard on the Nigerian attacker, willing to go crazy.”
The Little Donkeys have set a £150 million price tag on their star striker this summer, so Aurelio De Laurentiis’ view on Osimhen’s valuation is apparent, and it is unlikely that Napoli will trade the Super Eagles forward for less.
