Akwa Ibom First Lady Patience Umo Eno Passes Away

Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno, has died. The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, announced her passing in a statement released early Friday morning.

According to the statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” the First Lady passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at a hospital, surrounded by family. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness,” it read.

The family expressed their submission to the will of the Almighty, requesting prayers and support during this difficult time. “The family kindly requests privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother,” the statement added.

Governor Umo Eno expressed gratitude to those who supported the family, assuring citizens that his commitment to serving the state remains unwavering despite this personal loss.
