The African Brands Media Limited has announced plans to present “The Africa’s 100 Most Valuable Brands 2023” on March 29 in Lagos.
The company stated in a statement that the Africa’s 100 Most Valuable is a special report of an exclusive rating of Africa’s greatest brands.
The company claims that it displays businesses’ successes to African consumers and adds that it conducts a consumer-driven poll to determine consumers’ preferences for various brands on the continent.
It was revealed that a poll was carried out across 23 nations, spanning every economic area of Africa and accounting for at least 75% of the continent’s population and gross domestic product.
Desmond Esorougwe, the company’s CEO, said: “The brands are among brands across Africa or within the region mobile interviewing have proven to be the most effective way to reach Africa consumer because of the high penetration of mobile as a primary mode of communication.”
He claimed that in order for a brand to appear on the list of Africa’s most valuable brands, it must be sold in at least one market other than its home market.
According to him, the media list only includes truly Pan-African nations because of the dispersion and growth of local media.
“Overall, the most valuable brands are based on the most rigorous consume-led methodology consistent with global best practices and the most representative and comprehensive study and ranking of brands in Africa,” he said.
