Al Ahly Stuns Barcelona to Secure Bronze in Super Globe

Al Ahly pulled off a stunning 32-29 victory over European champions FC Barcelona in the IHF Super Globe bronze medal match, claiming third place. The Egyptian side, previously beaten by Barcelona in the group stage, came back stronger in the rematch to secure a memorable win.

The Red Devils started the game with an early 12-6 lead, holding a three-point advantage at halftime with a score of 18-15. Despite being the underdogs, Al Ahly maintained their composure throughout, with goalkeeper Abdelraham Taha playing a key role and earning the Man of the Match award.

This marks Al Ahly’s second top-three finish in the IHF Super Globe, their previous best being a runner-up position in 2007.
