All hail the Queen: Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-serving monarch in British history, becoming a much loved and respected figure across the World. She is an important figurehead for the UK and the Commonwealth during times of enormous social change.

She was crowned as queen on February 6, 1952, making it 70 whole years on the throne.

Queen Elizabeth II has brought stability and dedicated her life to the welfare of Commonwealth nations in a speech she delivered on her 21st birthday. She spoke, “I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service”.

At 19, she became the first female member of the British royal family to become an active duty member of the British Armed Forces Providing support during the war by serving as Anticraft gunners, radio operators, mechanics, and drivers during World War II

Her Majesty continues to engage herself, from visits to charities and schools to hosting visiting Heads of State, to leading the nation in Remembrance and celebratory events – all supported by other members of the Royal Family.

Queen Elizabeth has always responded to the call of her monarch duties over personal matters. Evident in her unwavering dedication despite the death of Prince Philip (Her husband of 73 years ) at the age of 99 last year, she continues to serve her people with absolute commitment.

Notable Heroes Queen Elizabeth has made a Knight or Dame including; Elton John, Bill Gates, Lewis Hamilton, and Sir Alex Ferguson.

She was born in Mayfair, London on 21 April 1926 as the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York

With absolute respect, we celebrate an icon, Queen Elizabeth II, undoubtedly an extraordinary woman who has dedicated her entire life in unfaltering service to her people, family, and nations.
