The first Diaspora chapter of the Professional Women Council (PWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was launched in the United Kingdom.
Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Special Advisor to the Governor of Ogun State, and Hon. Ronke Soyombo, the National Director of Women Affairs for the APC PWC, attended the recent launch of the PWC chapter in the Diaspora.
Hon. Soyombo said it is the duty and responsibility of all APC Professional Women Council members in the Diaspora to engage in party politics and be a part of the political process back home. She urged all members of the newly formed council to be committed to party ideology.
She gave the audience the reassurance that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s candidate for president, is dedicated to having 35 percent of United Nations women participate in his administration.
Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, the director general of the APC PC, praised the new council in his remarks and expressed his joy that it had been established at the appropriate time. Additionally, he pledged to use every means at his disposal to support the council and help the party win the upcoming elections.
Hon. Rachael Ebunoluwa Oke has been named the national zonal UK Coordinator, and Hon. Omowunmi Olunloyo has been named general secretary, according to an announcement by Hon. Soyombo.
