Black Teen Receive Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence

Valaysia Smith, at just 15 years Old has made history in her hometown, Monroe Louisiana, as being the first to receive the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence.
She was chosen based on her superior academic achievement, leadership potential, and zeal to serve humanity in the field of medicine by The National Academy of Future Physician and Medical Scientists.

The National Academy for Future Physicians and Medical Scientists was founded on the platform to identify future medical talent at their earliest age to help them acquire the necessary experience and skills.

The Academy offers free services and programs to students who desire to become physicians or Medical scientists.

Aside from her interest in the Medical field, Smith enjoys reading, drawing, acting, writing as well as modeling. She is about to finish her debut novel, a sci-fi fantasy, while also contributing to her community newspaper, the Monroe Free Press in which she has been active from early childhood.

With a 3.9GPA, she plans to study Biomedical Engineering at either Louisiana Technical University, Howard University, or Louisiana State University.

Smith is an Awardee of the Teen Business Award 2018 from the Global power Tour for Women. She is motivated to achieve her dreams and help others and save lives one day.
