Boom Launches Online Store

Nigerians will have access to a brand-new social commerce network Boom in October, which enables users to purchase, trade, and make payments online without a bank account.

Boom’s e-commerce without banking solution would be made available to everyone as part of its objective to enable financial inclusion for Nigerians.

The Boom app was advertised as being available for free download for both iOS and Android in the respective Apple Appstore and Google Play stores.

Along with English, French, and Spanish, it also mentioned that Boom is accessible in Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba.

Boom’s free and open ecosystem makes it suitable for cross-border, intra-African, and consumer-to-consumer money transfers as well as business-to-business and government-to-government financial exchanges.

The Multicoin, which is an ERC-20 token that exists within the Ethereum blockchain, is Boom’s native utility digital currency that transmits value between transacting parties within the Boom ecosystem.

According to the announcement, Multicoin handles all transactions within Boom by automatically changing fiat currencies between parties.

A business or consumer in Nigeria could then buy goods and services across borders by simply converting Naira into Multicoins at any one of the nationwide Boom approved resellers.
