British Airways, Uber Partner on Free Rides

According to the United Kingdom’s largest airline, Uber customers will soon be able to earn Avios on every trip they take by car, coach, or train that is booked using the Uber app by simply connecting their British Airways Executive Club and Uber accounts.

Once the Uber app is launched in the UK later this month, members of the airline’s reward program will be able to earn one Avios for every £1 spent on any ride, whether it be by car, coach, or rail. After that, you may use them for international travel, upgrades, and extras.

According to BA, members who link their Executive Club and Uber accounts through the Uber app will receive a bonus of 250 Avios to commemorate the new alliance.

British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, and Qatar Airways are just a few of the airlines that use the worldwide loyalty currency known as avios.

According to a British Airways statement, it can be accrued by traveling the world and by engaging in regular spending. Uber is the newest addition to the Executive Club, which is designed to help travelers increase their balances.

Users need only submit their information into the Executive Club and Uber integration form to link their accounts.

According to Andrew Brem, The General Manager at Uber UK, “We’re thrilled to be able to help Uber users collect Avios on every single journey they take. So everyday trips, such as going to work or to the shops is helping you to get somewhere a little more exotic with British Airways.”

The Head of Retail and Customer Relationship Management at British Airways, Ian Romanis, was also quoted to have said, “Avios helps to open up the world, wherever our customers wish to travel.”
