CAF Announces Best XI for Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has revealed the Best XI for the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024, celebrating the tournament’s standout performers.

Selected by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) — comprising analysts, coaches, and technical experts — the Best XI showcases exceptional talent from four top clubs: debutants FC Masar, champions TP Mazembe, runners-up AS FAR, and Edo Queens.

Goalkeeper:
Habiba Sabry (FC Masar) earned the Best Goalkeeper title, impressing with her acrobatic saves and commanding presence.

Defense:
The solid central defense features Shadia Nankya and Aisha Nantongo (both from FC Masar), while Miracle Usani (Edo Queens) and Vukulu Belange (TP Mazembe) occupy the left and right full-back positions, respectively.

Midfield:
Marline Kasaj (TP Mazembe) anchors the midfield, playing a pivotal role in their championship success. The creative force in the attacking midfield includes Sanaa Mssoudy (AS FAR) and Sandrine Nyonkuru (FC Masar), known for their flair and playmaking skills.

Attack:
Leading the forward line is the tournament’s top scorer, Doha El Madani (AS FAR), on the right wing. She is joined by Lacho Marta (TP Mazembe) on the left, with Merveille Kanjinga (TP Mazembe) as the central striker.

This Best XI underlines the growing talent in African women’s football and the high level of competition witnessed in Morocco 2024.
