A Muslim doctor has continued to receive hailings from social media users after he revealed that he swapped shifts with his Christian colleagues in order to allow them enjoy their Christmas holidays with their families and loved ones.
The mental doctor identified Ahmed Hankir took to his Twitter page to reveal how he has been doing this for the past 12 years.
He wrote:
“Hi I’m Ahmed, I’m a Muslim mental health doctor. For the last 12 years, I’ve swapped shifts so colleagues can celebrate the festive period with their loved ones. This year I’m working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day in Emergency Psychiatry. Merry Christmas everyone.”
