The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers warned Nigerians against panic buying in light of the recent force majeure declaration by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited and the rising price of gas.
The request was made in a statement by the organization’s president, Oladapo Olatunbosun, against the backdrop of NLNG’s declaration of force majeure on its gas facilities owing to flooding.
Olatunbosun advised against panicking about a potential shortage of cooking gas because of the force majeure.
“Based on information reaching the association, the NLNG has not shut down its production facility in Bonny as rumoured,” he stated.
