Over the weekend at Victoria Island, Lagos, there was an event called #Rewarding Excellence. Dignitaries from the insurance industry as well as other sectors attended the exciting occasion.
According to a release, operator nominations were the first step in the six-month online voting process for the Almond Awards.
The public’s insurance was also mentioned, along with the Award Panel of Judges’ selection procedure prior to the final voting and shortlisting of winners.
During the Award Ceremony, Ms. Prisca Soares, the Chairman of the 2023 Award Panel of Judges, stated that her and her members had done their utmost to assure the fairness and integrity of the process.
Over 1,797 voters cast ballots for nominees in the Seven Categories, she said, indicating an encouraging response from both the public and the industry.
The release further stated that six people were recognised for their outstanding contributions to their organisations and the insurance sector overall. These individuals were chosen and voted on by the Awards Panel of Judges based on their familiarity with the Nigerian market.
