Nigerian musician Davido, also known as OBO, recently made a return to the public eye after a period of absence following the death of his son.
The popular Afrobeat singer announced on Twitter that he will be releasing new music in March 2023. The news has received a mixed response, with some fans excited about the new material and others encouraging the artist to take his time.
Davido had been largely inactive on social media following the October drowning of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in the family’s Banana Island mansion.
However, he returned to the spotlight for a performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar on December 18.
The singer expressed his gratitude to fans in a post on social media, saying “I love you.”
