Former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy has discouraged Chelsea from signing the Brazil international, Neymar. He opined that though Neymar is a good player, he is overrated and he does not want him near his club.
Thiango Silva on the other hand said he prefers Neymar joins him at Stamford Bridge provided that he was leaving PSG. Meanwhile, there is no significant sign yet that Neymar wants to move away from Paris.
President Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s comment, has left many speculating the transfer of the most expensive footballer. In his recent interview with Le Parisien, he mentioned that changes were coming at the Parc des Princes and of course did not deny the exit of the 30-year-old.
According to Cundy while on the Sports Bar, “Well, you know my thoughts on Neymar, I think he’s overrated. Good player, but overrated. It’s all about him.
Eden Hazard was a team player. Neymar has been linked with Chelsea for a while, I’ve always said I wouldn’t want him near my club. I don’t think he’s the sort of player that Chelsea needs. Is he a good player? Is he talented? Yes, I don’t doubt that for a second. But I would not want him near Chelsea. “
Neymar who joined PSG for a world record fee back in 2017 was reported to earn £850,000-a-week which appears to be a handful for any club aiming to have him.
