The club which values the 21-year-old values has bid him for at least €10m as against Danish club’s €4m offer.
Negotiations have however not made much progress as Bo Henriksen was sacked last month and the Danish club is yet to appoint a new coach who will decide whether or not to meet Milan’s demands.
Meanwhile, Midtjylland has come out to disclose its unwillingness to sell the Nigeria international. This was stated by the club director.
According to him, “We want to keep Onyedika for one more season.”
The Rossoneri management has asked Midtjylland to reduce their bidding for the midfielder, who joined the Danish club from Nigerian club FC Ebedei in 2019.
Since Onyedika joined Midtjylland in 2021, has become an core part of the team and has even made eight appearances across all competitions in the 2022/23 season.
Onyedika who has four years left on his contract at Midtjylland made quite an impression in his first full season in Midtjylland with the U-19 League and the UEFA Youth League, his physique and speed.
He signed his first five-year professional contract in July 2020 and was loaned to Danish 1st Division-side FC Fredericia on August 19 2020 for the whole 2020-21 season. He played 28 games and scored three goals.
Onyedika returned to Midtjylland in the summer of 2021 and got promoted to the first team squad. He also got his official debut for Midtjylland against Odense Boldklub in the first game of the 2021/22 Danish Superliga.
