Mr. Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has been declared the winner of the PDP primary for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency yesterday.
This was his second time contesting for a seat in the National Assembly but lost to Ibrahim Obanikoro of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC under the platform of the Modern Democratic Party
The singer’s twenty-eight votes were enough to put him again at the forefront for PDP representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.
The singer started his music career a day after Valentine’s Day of 2013 with an album “R&BW” which featured artists like Iyanya and Waje during this Grand love concert.
On 11 November 2018, Banky W declared his intention to contest for the Lagos Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in Nigeria’s House of Representatives. He hopes to win the election comes 25 February 2023 under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party.
