The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal results. This announcement was made by NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, during a press briefing on Thursday, September 19, in Minna.

While presenting the results, Wushishi disclosed that NECO had taken disciplinary actions against 21 supervisors across 12 states, blacklisting them for various forms of misconduct, including poor supervision, aiding and abetting cheating, abscondment, extortion, negligence, and even drunkenness during the exams.

In addition, NECO has de-recognized a school in Ekiti State due to widespread cheating in two core subjects and one science subject.

“40 schools were found to have been involved in whole-school mass cheating in 17 states,” Wushishi said. “These schools will be invited to the council for discussions, after which appropriate sanctions will be applied.”

The council remains committed to maintaining the integrity of its examination process while ensuring that future infractions are addressed swiftly and decisively.
