Nigeria Defender Chidozie Awaziem who plays as a central defender for Turkish club Alanyaspor on loan from Boavista has assured Nigerians of the readiness of the Super Eagles to win the friendly game with Ecuador when they meet on Thursday.
Super Eagles had fallen to a 2-1 defeat to Mexico on Sunday in the first game under New coach Jose Peseiro. But Awaziem asserted how prepared for the second game against Ecuador. He told NFF Tv that “it will be a tough one but we are in top shape”.
He further gave his impression of the new coach, Peseiro. He is someone who likes to play football and likes his team to enjoy themselves in the game and to have control of possession and he appreciates his players a lot.
He said “He pushes us a lot. Nigerians should expect nothing but the best from us. We will always give our best to come out with victory because we know Nigeria will always want to win. It is our culture. We are focused on the game with Ecuador so that we will come out with a good one.”
All eyes will be on the game this Thursday as we stay glued to our Tv.
