A final year Bio-Chemistry student at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, Rebecca Iyoha has been awarded the Golden Key International Honour Society’s recognition for academic excellence.
The institution, which was founded in 1977 and has a presence in several countries around the world, honors outstanding foreign students in Canada and grants them membership privileges.
Iyoha, the daughter of former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly David Iyoha, expressed gratitude for the honor and pride in her own achievements.
She also encouraged other Nigerian immigrants studying abroad to be dedicated, polite, focused, and honest in their pursuit of success.
David Iyoha, who expressed pride in his daughter’s accomplishments, said that the honor not only belongs to their family, but also to the Esan land, Edo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He encouraged Nigerian students studying abroad to work hard and be diligent in their studies. Rebecca Iyoha also pledged to continue to bring honor to her country and make her parents proud through her actions.
