The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria said that ticket sales in the nation’s theaters in August brought in N378 million.
The National President of CEAN, Mr. Ope Ajayi, revealed this in a conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria.
According to Ajayi, the sum marked a 28% increase over the N294 million earned in August 2021.
Over NGN378 million was made at the box office by the 37 movies that were released in August.
He did, however, claim that ticket sales in August were down 19% from the N471 million they had made in July.
