Nigeria’s First Lady Her Excellency Oluremi Tinubu and Her Excellency Olufolake Abdulrazak of Kwara Unite for Multiple Project Inaugurations

In a significant demonstration of inter-state collaboration, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Kwara State’s First Lady, Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq, jointly inaugurated several landmark projects in Ilorin, Kwara State. These initiatives underscore a shared commitment to regional development and the empowerment of local communities.
Upon her arrival in Ilorin, Senator Tinubu, accompanied by Vice President’s wife, Nana Shettima, was warmly received by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq. The dignitaries proceeded to the Kwara State University of Education, where they commissioned an ICT Community Centre. This facility, a collaborative effort between the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) led by Senator Tinubu, aims to enhance digital literacy among youth and women in the state.
Senator Tinubu lauded the efforts of Governor AbdulRazaq and his wife in realizing the ICT Centre, emphasizing its potential to empower communities by providing invaluable opportunities for growth and development. She highlighted the importance of ICT as a tool to break traditional barriers and open new avenues, especially for women and girls.
Following the ICT Centre inauguration, the First Ladies unveiled two major infrastructural projects: the Emir Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Flyover and the General Tunde Idiagbon Flyover. These projects are expected to improve traffic flow and stimulate economic activities in Ilorin.
Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq expressed her gratitude to Senator Tinubu for her visit and collaboration, noting that such partnerships are vital for the state’s progress. She reiterated the state’s dedication to initiatives that uplift the lives of its residents, particularly in education and infrastructure.
