Nnamdi Kanu rants in court, makes unsubstantiated allegations against Justice Nyako

During a heated court session at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), lost his temper and directed a verbal outburst at Justice Binta Nyako.

Following the contentious hearing, Kanu made serious but unverified allegations against the judge, claiming she insisted on handling his trial due to corruption cases involving her husband and son. However, he did not provide any evidence to support his claims, and Justice Nyako was not present to respond, having adjourned the case and retired to her chambers.

Kanu’s remarks came after he appeared in court for the continuation of his trial. The IPOB leader has been especially critical of the judge, claiming he was not confident of getting justice before her. But he has yet to move a formal motion documenting evidence of bias by the judge, who despite provocations in the past has maintained calmness.
