Barcelona Fermini dominated the Spanish Women’s Primera Division match against Real Betis on Sunday, securing a 7-0 victory. Nigeria’s international star, Asisat Oshoala, added to her impressive goalscoring record as she came off the bench to score a second-half hat-trick.
With Barcelona already leading by three goals, Oshoala entered the match in the 59th minute, replacing Ana-Maria Crnogorčević. The former Arsenal player didn’t waste any time, scoring her first goal just two minutes later with the assist from Fridolina Rolfö.
Rolfö continued to shine as she provided two more assists for Oshoala, helping her secure her second goal in the 77th minute and her third deep into stoppage time.
Oshoala’s latest performance sees her claim the top spot on the goalscorer chart with 17 goals, surpassing Levante’s Alba Redondo (16) and Real Madrid’s Alexia Putella (15). The Super Falcons star is showing no signs of slowing down and is cementing her place as one of Barcelona’s all-time highest goalscorers.
