The Napoli forward outperformed Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez to win the prized “Capocannoniere” award, scoring 26 goals in 32 games to beat off his nearest challenger.
Before Napoli’s match on Sunday against Sampdoria, Osimhen had already scored 25 goals. Then, as his team won 2-0, he scored from the penalty spot to give him a total of two goals.
Speaking with DAZN, he said, “This season has been brilliant for me, for my teammates, and for Napoli. We deserved this.”
When asked about the possibility of leaving at summer, he revealed: “I don’t know, the president has to decide that. I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.”
The club won its third overall and first league title in 33 years thanks in large part to goals from the Nigerian.
The Super Eagle already won the season’s Best Striker accolade for his efforts.

He scored 21 goals in the league, five fewer than Edinson Cavani of Napoli and seven fewer than Antonio Di Natale of Udinese, the league’s top scorer with 28 goals.
