Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli and the Super Eagles, was ranked third among attackers under the age of 25 in the target man shooter category by the CIES Football Observatory.
The Nigerian moved up six spots in the rating, which the football observatory announced on Monday, with a score of 93.3.
Kai Havertz of Chelsea tops the list with a score of 94.3, while Matias Zaracho of Atletico Mineiro is ranked second with a score of 93.4.
Ferran Torres of Barcelona drops to fourth place by 0.3 points behind Osimhen, who has 93.3.
Darwin Nunez, a €80 million acquisition by Liverpool, is in fifth place with a score of 92.6.
Osimhen remains with Napoli despite being the focus of transfer rumors during the recently closed transfer window, and has had a strong start to the season.
Prior to suffering an injury that will keep him out for three weeks, the 23-year-old had five Serie A appearances under his belt, contributing to two goals and one assist while also playing a significant part in Napoli’s 4-1 victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
