Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been officially handed the Globe Soccer Emerging Player of the Year award on Wednesday, after not being able to attend the gala on November 17, 2022 in Dubai. The award was presented to him in Naples.
The 24-year-old Napoli striker beat out competition from Barcelona’s Gavi and Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde to take home the prize.
This season, Osimhen has been in impressive form, scoring 10 goals in 13 league appearances for Napoli.
His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe.
The Globe Soccer Emerging Player of the Year award is just the latest in a string of accolades for the young striker, who is definitely one to watch in the future.
