Attacker Victor Osimhen of the Super Eagles won the 2022 Globe Soccer Award for best young player.
The honor was presented to the Napoli striker on Thursday during a ceremony at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah.
On its official Twitter account, Globe Soccer Awards congratulated Osimhen, “Congratulations to Victor Osimhen on winning the 2022 #GlobeSoccer Award for POWER HORSE EMERGING PLAYER OF THE YEAR.”
Osimhen won the award over midfielders Valverde and Gavi, who play for Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
With 14 appearances across all competitions and 10 goals scored, the Nigerian has had a strong season with Napoli.
