President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja today, October 2, for the United Kingdom, where he will begin a two-week vacation as part of his annual leave, according to an official statement.

Bayo Onanuga, the President’s spokesperson, confirmed in the release that this vacation would also serve as a working retreat. President Tinubu is expected to use the time to reflect on and assess the economic reforms that his administration has implemented since taking office.

The trip to the UK follows his recent visit to China in September. Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the two-week vacation ends.

While the President takes a break, critical administrative duties are expected to continue through Vice President Kashim Shettima and other key government officials.
