Croatia have beaten Brazil to the first semi-finals ticket of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, 4-2 on penalties.
It took a moment of Brazilian brilliance from one of the biggest stars of world football, Neymar, for The Samba Boys to score the opening goal of the game with the hopes of beating Croatia to the semi-finals ticket.
After 90 minutes of a barren draw, the game went into extra time and in the 105th minute, the PSG playmaker produced a moment of magic, picking up one-two passes and driving it past the Croatian goalkeeper to hit the ball passed another defender, into the roof of the net.
Croatia’s Petkovic who joined the game in the 71st minute as a sub for Vlasic, however, dragged the game into a penalty shootout with an equaliser in the 115th minute.
