Qatar 2022: France beat England to last semi-finals ticket with 2-1 win

Defending champions, France have defeated England 2-1 to complete the semi-finals fixtures of the ongoing FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Real Madrid midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni gave the french team the lead after a world-class strike from outside the eighteen-yard box.

Harry Kane brought the game on level from the penalty spot, beating his Tottenham teammate, Hugo Lloris, after Bukayo Saka was brought down in the box by Tchouameni.

AC Milan striker, Oliver Giroud however puts his name in the history books and became France’s all-time highest goals scorer with a header in the 77th minute.

England were provided with an opportunity to come back into the game for the second time after Mount was brought down in the box by Hernandez, but Harry Kane wiped the ball past Lloris and the crossbar to dash the hopes of the English fans.

France will now face Morocco in the second semi-finals fixtures on Wednesday.
