Sad: Former Cameroonian and PSG midfielder, M’Bami dies at 40

Paris Saint-Germain is mourning the loss of former Cameroon and PSG midfielder Modeste M’Bami, who died on Saturday at the age of 40 after suffering a heart attack.

M’Bami played for several French clubs, including PSG and Olympique de Marseille, where he won the Coupe de France in 2004 and 2006.

He also scored three goals in 37 appearances for Cameroon and was part of the squad that won gold at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

M’Bami played in Spain, China and Saudi Arabia before retiring in 2016 and had trials with a number of Premier League clubs in 2009.

The club released a statement expressing their condolences to M’Bami’s family and loved ones.
