In a significant development, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has approved the appointment of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Muhammed Kabo to the prestigious rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) within the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). ACM Kabo will represent the North East Geo-Political Zone, bringing his expertise and dedication to this critical role.
The promotion exercise didn’t stop there. A total of 818 other senior, intermediate, and junior officers within the FRSC received well-deserved promotions; Corps Commanders (CC): Eight CCs were promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), recognizing their outstanding contributions to road safety; Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC): Fifty-six DCCs now hold the esteemed position of Corps Commander (CC), reflecting their commitment and competence.
Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC): Sixty-three ACCs have been elevated to the rank of Deputy Corps Commander (DCC), demonstrating their dedication to the FRSC’s mission; Chief Route Commanders: Ten Chief Route Commanders have stepped up to become Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC).
Superintendent Route Commanders: A total of 186 Route Commanders have been promoted to Superintendent Route Commander; Deputy Route Commanders: Eighty-nine Deputy Route Commanders now hold the rank of Route Commander; Assistant Route Commanders (ARC): Three hundred and forty-three ARCs have been elevated to the position of Deputy Route Commander (DRC).
The SGF expressed delight at the transparency and objectivity that characterized the entire promotion process. He emphasized that this exercise aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to rewarding excellence, diligence, and hard work. The promotion drive reflects the administrative philosophy of the present leadership under the Hope regime.
Corps Marshal Dauda Ali-Biu also congratulated the newly elevated officers, reminding them that every promotion comes with greater responsibilities. He urged them to rededicate themselves to the FRSC’s mission of eradicating road traffic crashes and creating a safer motoring environment in Nigeria. As they assume their new roles, the promoted officers are expected to exhibit more focus, dedication, commitment, and passion.
For those who did not receive promotions this year, Ali-Biu encouraged them to remain hopeful, as opportunities for advancement still abound in the future.
