Stock investors gain N14bn

After losing N15 billion on Tuesday, the stock market recovered on Wednesday, gaining N14 billion, and the session finished with a favorable trend.

The market capitalization of the All Share Index increased to N26.531 trillion, up N14 billion, as it increased by 10.25 basis points, or 0.02 percent, to settle at 49,171.70 basis points.

The upward trend was impacted by gains made in equities with medium and high market capitalizations, including BUA Cement, Ardova, Sterling Bank, Chams, and Jaiz Bank.

As investors traded in fear of this week’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the stock’s value at the conclusion of the previous week had dropped by N241 billion.
