Talented Nigerian Sculptor that Works with Spoons and Folks

Abinoro Akporode Collins was born on June 28,1984 in Agbarho, Delta state, Nigeria. He is the CEO of Arts by Collins.

He attended Agbarho Grammar School, Agbarho, Delta State before proceeding to the School of Art and Design, Auchi polytechnic Auchi in Edo state Nigeria, where he obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Painting and General Art in 2009.

He proceeded to obtain his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Sculpture in 2012, emerging as the overall best graduating student.

Collins who was inspired by his father belief that artists are low successful set of people vowed to make a difference.

Alongside sculpturing he is also an amazing painter who draws inspiration from his environment, humanoid and animal figures. He also tries to convey human experience with his artistry.

His artworks are widely received and applauded in Nigeria and beyond its shores. He exhibited at the grand finale of the “Life in my City” competition in Enugu, 2013. He also exhibited at the Africa Art month in Abu Dabhi, United Arab Emirate. His works featured at the Historical Festival Residency held in Abu Dhabi, UAE organized by ArtHub and in 2014, he participated in the Abu Dhabi International Art Fair in UAE.

His arts will once again be displayed at the Photography, Arts and Design Exhibition (PADE) hosted by Ecobank from 19th-21st August, 2022.

The native of Warri, Delta State, Nigeria is married to Faith Abinoro.
