Nigerians have continued to bash the country’s men’s Nation Team after their 4-nil loss to the Portuguese team in a friendly match that took place in Lisbon, last night.

A shambolic performance saw the Super Eagles go down by 2 goals from Manchester United’s midfielder, Bruno Fernandes in the first half of the game, only to be fed with the same number of goals by Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario in the second stanza of the game.

, The Nigerian team had the opportunity to reduce the deficit after they were awarded a penalty, Nottingham Forest striker, Emmanuel Dennis was denied by Roma’s goal-stopper, Rui Patricio. This was after a mild drama among a couple of the Nigerian players over who would take the penalty kick.

Reacting to the defeat and the performance by the Super Eagles players, Nigerians expressed their disappointment:

“I woke up happy to think that 4-0 we collected from Portugal was a dream. Only for me to come to Twitter & confirm it really happened. If I don’t get bantered by Chelsea PL rivals, the Super Eagles will hand me over to Ghanaians. Life is tough if you are a Nigerian Chelsea fan.” – Popular OAP and Presenter, Who Wants to be a Millionaire how, Frank Edoho.

“The Super Eagles is completely broken. I struggle to remember a period where the players were so unremarkable & the team’s overall output in performance and results was so dire. They play like strangers & the lack of passion is startling. Wonder what the fix is”, ports Journalist, Biola Kazeem.

“The administrators of Nigerian football are not getting 1% the scrutiny their shambolic selves deserve. No foresight, no thirst for excellence, horrible coaching appointments. See how Portugal is destroying Nigeria. This Super Eagles team won’t beat an Enyimba at this rate” – Investigative Journalist, Fisayo Soyombo.
