Top Nigerian Speakers Set to Grace Duchess International Women’s Conference in Senegal

Two distinguished Nigerian figures are set to headline the Duchess International Women’s Conference 2025, scheduled to take place from April 23 to 26 at the Pullman Hotels and Resorts in Dakar, Senegal.

Professor Ifeyinwa Nsude, from the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ebonyi, and Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, will join other global thought leaders in discussions centered around the empowerment and advancement of African women.

Professor Nsude will be speaking on “Women’s Leadership and Communication: Navigating Intersectionality and Power Dynamics,” offering deep insights into how African women can harness communication strategies to navigate complex leadership spaces. A respected academic, she brings decades of expertise in media, gender studies, and communication.

Alhaji Adeniyi will deliver a session on “Trade and Economic Empowerment: Bridging Gaps for Inclusive Growth in Africa.” With vast experience in trade and customs administration, his presence underscores the importance of institutional support in unlocking economic opportunities for African women.

The conference, organized by Duchess International Magazine in partnership with the Professional Women’s Council, will feature a blend of leadership training, mentorship, health and business forums, art exhibitions, and networking opportunities. This year’s theme is “Accelerate Action: A Call to Ignite, Empower, and Engage African Women for Transformative Realities.”
