Yinka Odeajo Invested as 71st President of Rotary Club of Crawley, Pledges to Champion Diversity and Mental Health Advocacy

Yinka Odeajo, popularly known as “Yinka Bold” has been formally invested as the 71st President of the Rotary Club of Crawley, last Saturday.

The event attended by distinguished guests and rotarians, heralded a new era of leadership in the club’s history, as Yinka became the first black male to hold the prestigious position.

Yinka, a seasoned professional Media Executive and community leader, brings a fresh perspective and strong commitment to his new role. His vision for the club includes repositioning it as a multicultural hub and the best in the district for community outreach, with a major focus on mental health advocacy.

“I want to reposition the Rotary Club of Crawley to make it a multicultural club, and I want it to be the best club in the district in terms of reaching out to the community,” Yinka emphasized.

Yinka’s presidency is expected to inject fresh ideas and a renewed sense of purpose into the club’s activities, elevating its impact on the community and paving the way for positive changes and growth.

The investiture ceremony was attended by notable figures, including District Governor Rot. Tim Vile, Mayor of Crawley Councillor Sharmila Sivarajah, Mayor of Croydon Cllr Kola Agboola, Leader of the council, Reigate and Banstead Cllr Richard Biggs, CEO, Alliance for Better Care Dr. Katherine Saunders, and CEO, Growing Health Together Dr. Gillian Orrow.

Yinka’s leadership is expected to inspire meaningful change and foster a stronger sense of community in Crawley and beyond.
