Nigerian Man Kingsley Ogbuji Promoted to Major in US Army

Nigerian-born Kingsley Ogbuji has been promoted to the rank of Major in the United States Army. The promotion ceremony took place on Monday, July 1, 2024, and was officiated by Lieutenant General Bagle.

Kingsley Ogbuji shared the joyous news on Instagram, expressing his gratitude and amazement with the words, “To God be the glory, I am amazed.”

Lieutenant General Bagle, who presided over the ceremony, commended Major Ogbuji for his hard work and dedication. “Congratulations to you on your selection and promotion to MAJOR. It was an honour for me to preside over your ceremony and I appreciate the opportunity,” said Bagle. “At this new level, more will be expected of you but you will be prepared. Continue to strive for excellence.”

Major Ogbuji’s journey to this achievement is as impressive as it is inspiring. Beyond his military career, he is an active volunteer for UNICEF USA, dedicating his time and efforts to support children in need. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, reflecting his commitment to personal and professional growth.
