Khafi Kareem, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, claims she appeared on the popular reality show to promote the British Metropolitan Police.

The reality television star revealed this during a misconduct hearing regarding her unauthorized appearance on the popular show.

Kareem admitted to taking and surrendering her laptop to the show’s organizers, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported.

However, the mother of one denied allegations that she violated standards regarding “orders and instructions” and “discreditable conduct.”

Kareem also stated unequivocally during the hearing that she failed to disclose a business interest in connection with the television show’s publicity and promotion.

Kareem requested unpaid leave wages during the hearing because she assisted in promoting the Metropolitan Police.

Khafi stayed in the Big Brother Naija house for 77 days before being eliminated.

The hearing took place on Monday, April 25, at the Empress Building in west London.

Khafi has since married a fellow housemate, Gedoni Ekpata, and the couple has a son.
