Dangote smashes ‘Brand of the Year’ Award Yet Again

In acknowledgment of the company’s outstanding corporate performance over the past year, Dangote Industries Limited has received the Brand of the Year award.

The prize category won by Dangote was the flagship in recognition of the company’s ongoing contributions to the economic development of Nigeria and Africa, according to John Ajayi, Publisher of Marketing Edge, who spoke at the ceremony in Lagos.

According to Ajayi, “This recognition covers many business investments and corporate interventions carried out by the company in Africa as a continent.”

He credited Dangote’s strong employment generation programmes, which had produced jobs for many young people, with the company’s top-ranking position among its peers during the award presentation.

He also praised Dangote Industries for its consistent dedication to the provision of vital infrastructure.

He claimed that the award ceremony was the highlight of Marketing Edge’s 20th anniversary celebration and the 11th presentation of its annual Brands and Advertising Excellence Award. Other brands were also honoured for their great market performance.

Ajayi noted that Marketing Edge’s debut into the market two decades ago had cemented its place as an authoritative and trustworthy partner for all stakeholders within the Nigerian marketing and advertising ecosystem.
