A trio of Nigerian visionaries — Chef Hilda Baci, philanthropist Prada Uzodinma, and real estate entrepreneur Bright Shekoni — have earned nominations for the coveted Under-30 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) Awards. The awards, organized by CEOs Network Africa, aim to spotlight and celebrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and creativity among the continent’s youth.

Chairing the Awards Committee, Mrs. Mina Obeten, expressed the organization’s dedication to nurturing the growth of young talents. In a statement released on Saturday in Abuja, she highlighted the nominees’ outstanding contributions as creators and business owners. The nomination list was unveiled on Friday, and the voting process will remain open until December 6.

“As a devoted platform fostering the growth and recognition of exceptional talent, CEOs Network Africa (CNA) invites the public to actively participate in the voting process,” remarked Mrs. Obeten. “Nominees, including Prada Uzodinma, Hilda Baci, Bright Shekoni, and others, have been thoughtfully selected for their outstanding contributions.”

The awards committee co-chair, Mr. Abass Oroh, spoke on behalf of CNA, emphasizing the profound impact the awards have had on the African business landscape over the past five years. “The Under 30 CEOs Awards have served as a beacon, illuminating the remarkable work of businesses and business owners across the continent,” stated Mr. Oroh. “The success stories that have emerged from past award recipients are a testament to the resilience and innovation inherent in Africa’s youth.”

This year’s nominations underscore the diversity of talent emerging from Nigeria, with Chef Hilda Baci, a former Guinness World Record holder, representing the culinary arts sector. Prada Uzodinma, recognized for her philanthropic endeavors, stands as a beacon for social impact, while Bright Shekoni, a dynamic force in real estate, reflects the entrepreneurial spirit driving economic growth.

Mrs. Obeten underscored the importance of public participation in the voting process, stating, “By participating in the voting process, you become an integral part of shaping the narrative of success for these extraordinary individuals.” The community’s involvement is seen as crucial in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of young business leaders, amplifying their impact on the continent.
