Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been in sensational form of late, and his latest performances have put him in the spotlight of the football world.

The 23-year-old has just scored his 22nd goal of the season, in 28 games, and became the first Nigerian to score two goals in a UEFA Champions League knockout game, earning him the Man of the Match award.

Napoli extended their successful run in European football by beating Frankfurt 3-0, giving them a 5-0 aggregate win.

Despite Frankfurt’s relentless attack to try and overcome their two-goal deficit, Napoli had the better chances to score in the first half, with Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp making some key saves.

One of Napoli’s defenders made a mistake, but Frankfurt’s Mario Gotze was unable to capitalize and create a comeback.

However, just before halftime, Victor Osimhen scored a header to give Napoli the lead. In the second half, Frankfurt failed to follow a basic defensive rule and allowed Osimhen to score his second goal.

Unfortunately, Osimhen was injured in the process. Piotr Zieliński sealed the deal with a penalty to make it 3-0.

Osimhen’s performance in the game was nothing short of remarkable. His two goals were a testament to his skill and composure on the ball, and his overall contribution to Napoli’s play was outstanding.

Despite being injured in the second half, he continued to play with an unwavering determination that earned him the admiration of his teammates and fans.
