“We both have South Africans to deal with,” says Adesanya as he trains Zuckerberg ahead of fight with Musk

The US internet millionaire Mark Zuckerberg is being trained by mixed martial arts champion Israel Adesanya, a Nigerian-born fighter.

It happens just before what may turn into a fight between the leader of Meta, the company that controls Facebook and Instagram, and his opponent Elon Musk, the South African-born businessman who now runs Twitter.

Adesanya joked on Thursday while posting four images of the pair working out together. “We both have South Africans to deal with,” he said.

The 33-year-old fighter, who was born in New Zealand but relocated there as a child, will face Dricus du Plessis of South Africa in a middleweight matchup for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in September.

According to news sources, Adesanya arrived at Zuckerberg’s home in northern California on Saturday to begin their training sessions.

Last month, Elon Musk, 52, and Mark Zuckerberg, 39, reached an online agreement to engage in a cage match.

The fight’s date has not yet been determined, but the two are already engaged in another conflict due to Meta’s recent introduction of a Twitter alternative.

More than 100 million individuals have downloaded the Threads app to date.
