Napoli forward Victor Osimhen was a standout performer in his side’s 5-1 thrashing of Juventus in the Serie A on Friday.
The Nigerian international scored the opening goal of the match, nodding home the rebound after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s initial shot was saved by the Juventus keeper.
He also assisted in Napoli’s second goal, setting up Kvaratskhelia for the score.
Osimhen also added a second goal for himself, heading home Kvaratskhelia’s cross.
The victory propelled Napoli to a ten-point lead in the Serie A title race and solidified their position as one of the top teams in the league.
Osimhen’s performance and goals will no doubt give him and his team confidence as they look to continue their strong run in the league.
The match was also a personal triumph for Osimhen who had been out of action for a few weeks due to an injury.
His return to the team and scoring performance was a huge boost for Napoli and will be a welcome sight for fans of the club.
