The Atlas Lions of Morocco have defeated Spain to advance into the quarter-finals of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
After a 120-minute scoreless draw, the two sides could not score and the game went to a penalty shoot-out. The Spanish players missed all three of their penalties, and Morocco went through to its first-ever World Cup quarterfinal, with a 3-0 penalty win.
